Imran asks supporters to rescue CM KP from Punjab police

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has asked his supporters to rescue Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak from Punjab police.

“(I) want all PTI workers and democratic people of KP to go to Haroonabad bridge and support brave CM and his entourage being shelled by Punjab police,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

The PTI chief expressed pity how the Punjab government is treating CM KP. He called it violation of the constitution to stop an elected representative of people from travelling.

“CM KP and his entourage being prevented violently from exercising their democratic right to travel to Bani Gala,” he said.

Imran Khan said: “It was a shameful act how KP CM was under attack by the Punjab govt. The constitution is being violated shamelessly by the federal and Punjab governments.”

He was impressed by the way Khattak and PTI supporters were dealing pacifically with all the situation.

“Despite shelling by Punjab police, PTI workers and CM KP not using violence or KP police to show their commitment to peaceful protest,” he said.
