ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has told his activists to prepare themselves to fight all those opposing the party’s accountability movement, ARY News reported.
Speaking to media on Monday, PTI chairman said that the law enforcement agencies are launching a crackdown against his party and arresting party workers from their homes.
“Under which law the PTI workers are being arrested,” Khan asked.
He asked Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) to take suo-moto notice of the arrest of PTI workers calling arrests as abduction.
He further said that the prevailing situation in the country is a trial for the judicial system as they are responsible to protect the democracy.
“I am ready to go to jail. I will again launch my protest on the streets when released,” Khan said.
Terming Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif a product of Martial Law, the PTI chairman said that he only knows how to plunder the country. “Whenever he is been asked to present himself for accountability, he whines about a threat to the country, CPEC and the national development” Imran said.
He alleged that Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif are be-fooling the nation for last 30 years.
“They want to destroy the state institutions and protect their corruption. They create theatrics and tell us to wait for general elections in 2018,” Khan said.
Imran Khan said that if this is democracy, then former army chief General (retd.) Pervez Musharraf’s dictatorial regime was much better.
