SHARJAH: Pakistan were 148/3 at tea on the first day of the third test match against West Indies at Sharjah, ARY News reported.
The green shirts started the second session of the day at 81/2 as skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and opener Sami Aslam are batting at 18 and 72 runs respectively.
Pakistani batsman Younis Khan was back in the pavilion with 107 runs on the board as he was caught behind by Leon Johnson from the bowling of Roston Chase after making 51 runs from 100 deliveries with four boundaries and a six to his name.
Sami Aslam also reached his half century in 111 balls after hitting a six boundaries and a six.
Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first.
However, the side started off poorly as Azhar Ali and Asad Shafiq were dismissed on second and fourth ball of the match respectively by Shannon Gabriel. They both failed to contribute anything with the bat.
