Under which law govt stopping hotels from facilitating PTI workers?: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar has asked the government that under which law it was directing hotels not to facilitate PTI workers.

“They’re giving written instructions to the markets, press and hotels to not facilitate any Insafian. This very attitude of the government that you saw today is the reason Chief Justice of Pakistan said it is monarchy,” he said.

Asad Umar said if the government thought that it could stop November 2 protest by using these tactics, it was mistaken.

Presenting a notification issued by the government in this regard, he tweeted that ‘look at conducts of the government which is the biggest threat for democracy’.

The notification issued on behalf of Golrah Sharif police station says: “You are hereby informed that nobody should give space to PTI or any other party, expected to participate in the proposed sit-in, for function or accommodation. Neither they should arrange for their catering service, otherwise legal action would be taken against them.”

The senior PTI leader also condemned arrests of PTI workers in Islamabad.

He said those were not legal arrests, it was hooliganism.

“One million people were meant to hit the roads on November 02, after this shameful act of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), the number will reach up to two million now,” he said.
