Microsoft Inc. once offer Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg $24 billion to acquire social media platform in its younger days, former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer told a US media house.
In an interview with CNN, Steve Ballmer claimed that one of the world’s largest tech companies tried to buy the social media giant in its earlier days. He also rubbished rumours that he and Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal are looking to make a bid on Twitter.
Ballmer also reflected on his $7.2 billion acquisition of NOKIA’s mobile phone business and claimed he has no remorse over the deal.
“The phone business, I’m not apologetic about. Current management chose to go in a different direction,“ he said.
