LAHORE: The incumbent government on Sunday devised a policy to systematically counter Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s proposed sit-in on November 02, ARY News reported.
The meeting in this regard was chaired by Law Minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah, while chief secretary Punjab, Chief Minister Punjab’s Special Assistant Rana Maqbool, home secretary Punjab, inspector general police Punjab and other high officials were also present on the occasion.
Sources said lists of PTI leaders were divided into three categories – A, B and C. Category A includes names of central leadership and elected assembly members of PTI, category B includes names of district and divisional officials and category C includes names of mobilizers, facilitators, activists and financers other than chairmen and councilors.
Senior journalist Asad Kharral said Rana has ordered police, Special Branch, Intelligence Bureau and Home Department that at any cost the PTI leader should not enter the twin cities.
Asad Kharral said the meeting has ordered Special Branch to formulate a special report on speeches made by PTI Chairman Imran Khan proving him convicted of treason.
